WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU EXPIRA A DOMAIN?

If a domain expires, it becomes inactive immediately, a parking page will be displayed, property rights will be lost and all attached services will not work, such as your website or email.

However, the registrar provides a limited grace period during which you can renew the domain and retrieve the full domain registration rights. Each record and also each tld has different rules for its grace periods. At the end of the grace period, the domain can be auctioned, deleted or entered into redemption, and may eventually be available for others to register.

We recommend that you renew your domain before it expires. We also encourage you to keep a record of the expiration dates of your domain and renew it well in advance to avoid downtime or loss of the name. Complimentary emails are sent 60, 45, 30, 15 and 7 days prior to expiration to warn you of impending expiration. The registry also sends you an alert after the domains have expired. Once you renew the domain, all previous configurations will be recovered and the domain will be active normally within a few hours after the renewal.

The renewal period is always added to the end of the current registration period (for example, the new expiration date is the same, whether you renew two months before or the day before expiration) so you never waste time on your domain Renewing in advance.

Note that once the domain is in redemption or extended redemption period, the registration will charge a fee of $ 350, additional to the regular annual registration fee, to recover the domain name. If your domain is in this state, you can contact us to arrange the payment to receive the domain.
